Eco Group
At Barthol Chapel school our Eco Group is on a mission to protect our planet!
Our Eco group is committed to making our school greener by reducing waste, saving energy and caring for our local environment.
We turn off lights, recycle paper and plastic, reuse recycled materials and look after our school grounds.
Projects the pupils have taken part in so far include:
· Creating a bee garden
· Decorating bird boxes
· Tree planting
· Making Bird Feeders
· Recycling plastic bottles to make wind chimes
· Gardening
· Fruit and Vegetable Growing
· Wrapper free/ Fruity Friday
This year our Eco group intend to;
· Create habitats on the school grounds for wildlife including a bug hotel
· Reuse recycled materials to create art work for our playground
· Gardening and Growing Fruit and Vegetables in our new Polly Tunnel.
· Bird watching and identifying them
· Fixing and painting the planters in the school grounds
We want to ensure that our school is an eco- friendly place to learn.
